We are pleased to announce that NG Hotels has made a comprehensive commitment to improving the welfare of the fish served in their operations. This commitment includes not only sourcing sea bass and sea bream that are harvested using electrical stunning systems, but also implementing other key welfare measures to ensure higher standards of animal care throughout the supply chain. The group is a local Turkish brand operating 4 hotels.

Timeline: We have been in discussions with NG Hotels for around 9 months. They have now started sourcing all sea bass and sea bream in accordance with our commitment, ensuring they come from farms that use the 100% electrical stunning method and maintain optimal stocking densities in their sea cages.

Who: Future For Fish

Unsuccessful Tactics: There were no notably unsuccessful tactics in securing this commitment. Although communication occasionally slowed down, it did not impact the overall outcome of the process.

Successful Tactics: Our project manager having direct contact at NG Hotels played a key role in securing the commitment. Additionally, seeing a major hotel chain like Divan publish their commitment served as a motivating factor for NG Hotels to follow suit and publish their own.
