Welcome! FAST is dedicated to fostering an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community. This commitment is at the heart of our guidelines listed below. Please take a few minutes to read our guidelines below— we really appreciate it.

We ask you to encompass the three values: Be Kind, Be Trustworthy, and Be Professional, when posting content and interacting with our community.

Be Kind

Do not post harassing content: We don’t allow bullying or harassment. This includes targeted personal attacks, intimidation, shaming, disparagement, and abusive language directed at other members. Do not reveal others' personal or sensitive information (for example, doxing), or incite others to do the same. You may not engage in trolling or other repetitive negative content that disrupts other members or conversations on the platform.

Do not threaten, incite, or promote violence: We don’t allow threatening or inciting violence of any kind. We don’t allow individuals or groups that engage in or promote violence, property damage, or organized criminal activity. You may not use FAST to express support for such individuals or groups or to otherwise glorify violence.

Be Trustworthy

Do not share false or misleading content: Do not share content that is false, misleading, or intended to deceive. Do not share content to interfere with or improperly influence an election or other civic process. Do not share content that directly contradicts guidance from leading global health organizations and public health authorities; including false information about the safety or efficacy of vaccines or medical treatments.

Do not create a fake profile or falsify information about yourself: We don’t allow fake profiles or entities. Do not post misleading or deceptive information about yourself, your business, your qualifications, work experience, affiliations, or achievements. Do not use an image of someone else, or any other image that is not your likeness, for your profile photo. Do not associate yourself on FAST with a business or organization that you are not actually professionally associated with. Do not use or attempt to use another person's FAST account or create a member profile for anyone other than yourself. And do not share your FAST account with anyone else.

Do not scam, defraud, deceive others. Do not use FAST to facilitate romance scams, promote pyramid schemes, or otherwise defraud members. Do not share malicious software that puts our members, platform, or services at risk.

Be Professional

FAST is dedicated to fostering connections among professionals in the farmed animal movement, with the aim to enhance both productivity and success. Our platform encourages expansive discussions on advocacy, emphasizing the need for professional discourse. We uphold a standard of professionalism, where members are expected to engage with one another respectfully and civilly. It is important to avoid any interaction or content sharing that is discourteous, unsuitable, or disrespectful.

Do not be hateful. Our policy strictly prohibits content that is harmful, demeaning, intimidating, dehumanizing, or that incites or threatens hatred, violence, or discriminatory actions against individuals or groups based on their actual or perceived race, ethnicity, nationality, caste, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, or disability. Avoid using slurs or language that is racially, religiously, or otherwise offensive and designed to incite or promote hatred or division.

Do not engage in sexual innuendos or make unwanted advances. We prohibit expressions of unsolicited attraction, desires, romantic or marriage proposals, sexual advances or innuendos, and lewd remarks. FAST is for professional networking, not dating. Refrain from using it to pursue romantic interests, request dates, or comment sexually on someone's appearance. Sending unwanted messages, posts, comments, or sexually explicit images is strictly forbidden.

Please refrain from sharing harmful or disturbing content. While material related to farmed animal advocacy, like factory farm footage, is permissible, it must not depict sadistic harm to animals. We strictly ban content that is excessively graphic or shocking, involves criminal activities, weapon creation, drug abuse, or threats. Promotion of escort services, prostitution, child exploitation, or human trafficking is also prohibited. Additionally, content that promotes self-harm, suicide, self-mutilation, or eating disorders is not allowed. Sharing nudity or any form of sexual activity is forbidden.

Do not spam members or the platform. We don't allow untargeted, irrelevant, obviously unwanted, unauthorized, in appropriately commercial or promotional, or gratuitously repetitive messages or similar content. Please make the effort to create original, professional, relevant, and interesting posts in order to gain engagement. Don't do things to artificially increase engagement with your posts.

Thanks for reading!

Please note that these community guidelines are a work in progress and significant changes may be made within the next few months. Please check back for updates.

Hello everyone! We wanted to ask for your help with three specific actions regarding the Egg Labeling Bill being discussed in Congress. This month is crucial. Currently, the Egg Labeling Bill in Peru is before the Consumer Rights Committee. This committee will vote on it in the coming weeks, and we expect it to be passed to the full Congress for final approval. 1 - Updated petition https://shorturl.at/lT5WY 2 - Automatic link to email members of Congress whose vote is undecided on the bill https://tinyurl.com/yzm2sw9u 3 - If you use Twitter, this thread is very important because you can tag members.   FIRST: Important update on the Egg Labeling Bill! A new substitute text was presented that responds point by point to the MIDAGRI arguments. Here we explain it easily. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   SECOND: Will the price of eggs go up? FALSE. The PL doesn't require changes in breeding or processing. It only asks for transparency: indicating whether the egg was raised in a cage, shed, or pasture. Furthermore, bulk eggs are excluded. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   THIRD: Does it affect small producers? NO. The PL excludes those with 1,000 hens or fewer. It only applies to medium and large producers. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   FOURTH: Do all animal husbandry methods guarantee animal welfare? NO. Hens in cages are kept immobilized. This system was banned in the EU more than 10 years ago. The PL doesn't prohibit it, it just informs. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   FIFTH: Why is it important? Because information empowers. Consumers have the right to know how what they consume was produced. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   Thank you very much!

Each year, Animal Charity Evaluators (ACE) invites animal charities from around the world to apply for our in-depth evaluations. Our goal is to identify the most impactful giving opportunities for donors seeking to contribute to a world where all animals can flourish. We are thrilled to announce that 10 charities have been selected for this year’s charity evaluations, based on their excellent applications and the highly promising nature of their work. Among these are six current Recommended Charities that are being re-evaluated before their two-year recommendation status expires: Faunalytics, Legal Impact for Chickens, New Roots Institute, Shrimp Welfare Project, The Humane League, and Wild Animal Initiative. On November 4, 2025, some of this year’s evaluated charities will be awarded ACE’s two-year recommendation status, joining the five charities recommended in 2024: Aquatic Life Institute, Çiftlik Hayvanlarını Koruma Derneği, Dansk Vegetarisk Forening, Good Food Fund, and Sinergia Animal. All charities evaluated by ACE have undergone a thorough selection process and have demonstrated significant potential in running cost-effective programs and engaging in impactful work. Even those that are not ultimately recommended are likely among the most effective in their respective fields. Below, we give an overview of our selection process and introduce the 10 charities that successfully reached the evaluation stage in 2025. Our Selection Process Our selection process is an initial assessment of applicants’ programs, with a focus on their theory of change and the scale of their impact for animals. The process is designed to ensure that we dedicate our resources to evaluating organizations with strong potential to be among the most impactful giving opportunities in the world. In 2025, our selection process began with 43 initial applicants, which were narrowed to 25 charities after an eligibility screening. These organizations then underwent a detailed assessment in w

* After negotiations with ICAW, the UK retailer Morrisons committed to eliminating eyestalk ablation and implementing pre-slaughter electric stunning for all farmed shrimp in its supply chain by 2027. * We have been actively talking to them for several months and they have been very impressed by our recent campaign against Iceland, including our recent protests in London! Morrisons joins several UK retailers that have already made similar commitments: M&S, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Ocado, and Co-op. A huge thank you to everyone who participated to this win for shrimp !
