Thanks to the advocacy work of Veg Foundation and its Menu for the Planet campaign, the Minister of Environment of Chile has updated this month their purchasing manual, demanding that all the food that is purchased within the institution should be 100% plant-based or vegetarian

This achievement will mean that the events, congress, meetings and all other activities produced and organized by the governmental institution will not allow animal meat and that the suppliers will have to offer vegan and vegetarian options.

This is the second Ministry in the country that commits to making changes in its food policies, within the framework of the presidential commitment signed between the Veg Foundation and the government of the current president Gabriel Boric.
