ProVeg is looking to fill the following positions:

About ProVeg

ProVeg International is a food awareness organisation working to transform the global food system by replacing animal-based products with plant-based and cultured alternatives. We work with decision-making bodies, companies, investors, the media, and the general public to help the world transition to a society and economy that are less reliant on animal agriculture and more sustainable for all humans, animals, and our planet. We have offices in nine countries across four continents and are active around the world. ProVeg has a permanent observer status with the UNFCCC, special consultative status with ECOSOC, is accredited for UNEA, and has received the United Nations’ Momentum for Change Award.

International Projects Manager / Adviser

ProVeg International runs national and international projects and programmes in parallel which are owned by country directors and department heads. As International Projects Manager, you are responsible at a meta-level for planning, coordinating and implementation of several key projects, by providing guidance and coaching to project leads and teams to ensure they adhere to project plans and achieve successful outcomes. You collaborate closely with various countries and departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. You build processes and templates around project planning and delivery and coach stakeholders on best practices. Ability to handle multiple complex and international projects at the same time is essential.

Federal Volunteer Service in International Policy / Advocacy

We are working on Veg Politics! Do you want to join? ProVeg puts plant-based topics on the political agenda. A strong area of focus is international organisations in general, specifically the United Nations system. Together with our partners, we are working on making the switch to more plant-based diets easier and more realistic for as many people as possible and on communicating the potentials of plant-based products and lifestyles for tackling various policy areas. We are looking for support to help achieve these ambitious goals. The International Policy Federal Volunteer supports the preparation and execution of political work and lobbying activities aimed at communicating the potentials of plant-based products and lifestyles to political decision-makers and other relevant stakeholders at the international political sphere.

Hello everyone! We wanted to ask for your help with three specific actions regarding the Egg Labeling Bill being discussed in Congress. This month is crucial. Currently, the Egg Labeling Bill in Peru is before the Consumer Rights Committee. This committee will vote on it in the coming weeks, and we expect it to be passed to the full Congress for final approval. 1 - Updated petition https://shorturl.at/lT5WY 2 - Automatic link to email members of Congress whose vote is undecided on the bill https://tinyurl.com/yzm2sw9u 3 - If you use Twitter, this thread is very important because you can tag members.   FIRST: Important update on the Egg Labeling Bill! A new substitute text was presented that responds point by point to the MIDAGRI arguments. Here we explain it easily. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   SECOND: Will the price of eggs go up? FALSE. The PL doesn't require changes in breeding or processing. It only asks for transparency: indicating whether the egg was raised in a cage, shed, or pasture. Furthermore, bulk eggs are excluded. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   THIRD: Does it affect small producers? NO. The PL excludes those with 1,000 hens or fewer. It only applies to medium and large producers. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   FOURTH: Do all animal husbandry methods guarantee animal welfare? NO. Hens in cages are kept immobilized. This system was banned in the EU more than 10 years ago. The PL doesn't prohibit it, it just informs. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   FIFTH: Why is it important? Because information empowers. Consumers have the right to know how what they consume was produced. @waldemar_cerron @katy_ugarte @rosiotorressali @edgartellom   Thank you very much!

* After negotiations with ICAW, the UK retailer Morrisons committed to eliminating eyestalk ablation and implementing pre-slaughter electric stunning for all farmed shrimp in its supply chain by 2027. * We have been actively talking to them for several months and they have been very impressed by our recent campaign against Iceland, including our recent protests in London! Morrisons joins several UK retailers that have already made similar commitments: M&S, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Ocado, and Co-op. A huge thank you to everyone who participated to this win for shrimp !
