The V-Label is an internationally recognized trademark, protected since 1996, that identifies vegetarian and vegan products. In Germany, ProVeg e. V. is responsible for awarding the V-Label. ProVeg is a food awareness organization committed to transforming the global food system by replacing animal-based products with plant-based and cultivated alternatives.

Location: Berlin or remote within Germany
Working hours: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development:
  You will lead and develop the V-Label Germany quality management team, currently consisting of three employees, both professionally and disciplinarily. This includes recruiting and onboarding new talent, as well as fostering an inspiring and resilient work environment for team members from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience. With your leadership skills and empathy, you inspire your team, encourage individual strengths, and create a collaborative environment.
• Strategic Direction:
  With strategic foresight, you plan the QM area independently and develop long-term visions within the framework set by V-Label GmbH. You build a relevant professional network, set priorities for the team’s tasks, and delegate efficiently and transparently. You think beyond day-to-day operations, define long-term goals, and at the same time provide operational support in a jointly defined area.
• Risk & Crisis Management:
  You identify potential risks and develop proactive crisis management strategies. With your experience, you are able to make sound decisions even with incomplete information and are willing to take calculated risks.
• Process Optimization & Pragmatism:
  You ensure strong organization in terms of time and task management. You’re pragmatic, avoid getting bogged down in details, and focus on efficient, solution-oriented approaches. Your pragmatic perfectionism enables you to achieve high quality standards efficiently.
• Continuous Improvement:
  You drive the continuous development of the QM area to improve the quality and efficiency of the V-Label licensing process. This also includes advancing quality-related Odoo features.
• KPIs & Reporting:
  You are responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting key performance indicators for V-Label management.
• Networking:
  You maintain communication and foster relationships with international V-Label partners and industry experts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and up to five years of relevant professional experience.
• Solid academic knowledge in relevant fields such as pharmacy, biology, chemistry, food technology, food law, quality management, oenology, cosmetology, textile chemistry, nutrition science, or dietetics.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking skills; proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to set priorities - both for yourself and others.
• A pragmatic perfectionist: you strive for excellence but also find efficient, quick solutions.
• Confident in using online tools; open and skilled in working with data and text processing programs.
• Excellent command of German (C1) and very good English (C1), both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel within Germany.
• Reliable, empathetic, and resilient work ethic with a team-oriented, positive, respectful, and enthusiastic attitude that puts our partners and clients at the center.
• Nice to have:
  Experience in the FMCG sector, with a standard-setting body, inspection authority, or certification organization.
