Our work commemorates the billions of animals who lose their lives by human hands each year, draws the public’s awareness to humanity’s unconscionable treatment of animals, and brings the global animal rights/vegan community together, in mourning, but also in celebration.

Role Overview:

The Integrated Marketing and Communications Manager handles all aspects of OPTT’s public outreach to make sure our message reaches more people and makes an impact. This role is focused on creating, running, and overseeing our marketing strategy and campaigns, consistently across all channels – social media, press, printed, outdoors, email, and partnerships – with an aim to maintain and expand our reach. The Integrated Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for connecting with new audiences, building awareness for our ‘brand’, and keeping our communications brand-fitting and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and run campaigns for all our programs, across all platforms, to reach                 people, drive action, raise funds, and make OPTT’s message clear and memorable.

• Oversee and manage OPTT’s online and offline presence, including on billboards, fliers, social media, Wikipedia, other platforms and the OPTT websites.

2. Expand OPTT’s Audience

• Find ways to engage new audiences and increase OPTT’s visibility, using timely and relevant content that appeals to its target audiences.

• Identify trends, potential influencers, and partnerships that can help bring OPTT’s work to new audiences.

3. Direct Content and Communications

• Manage and oversee all communications, ensuring our messaging is consistent, straightforward, and easy to understand.

• Create or approve high-impact materials, including press releases, campaign content, email communications and others.

4. Media Relations

• Build and maintain solid connections with key journalists, media outlets, influencers and celebrities.

• Arrange interviews, articles, press releases, and other media opportunities, and represent OPTT in the media as needed.

5. Evaluate and Improve Strategy

• Track what works and doesn’t work in each campaign and project, collect data and stats, and adjust to make OPTT’s outreach more effective.

• Regularly update the OPTT leadership on its marketing progress, and suggest needed shifts in the marketing and communications strategy.

Requirements:

• Based in the US or Canada (ideally in the PST time zone).

• 5+ years’ experience in marketing and communications, with a focus on multi-channel campaigns and audience growth.

• Proven experience creating and running successful outreach campaigns, on social media and conventional platforms.

• Proven experience in communications and media relations.

• Dedication to OPTT’s mission and an understanding of the urgency in delivering high-impact results.

• Strong writing, editing and copywriting skills, with English as mother-tongue or at native level.

• Proficiency with graphic design, web design and video editing.

• Ability to work independently and manage projects without constant oversight.

• High level of integrity, attention to details and accountability.

This role is about making sure OPTT’s message is clear, effective, and reaches as many people as possible. If you’re ready to handle the full scope of OPTT’s marketing and communications, we’d like to hear from you.
