Role Summary

As a Policy Specialist (all genders) in the field of Sustainable Public Food Procurement, you will be part of the German Policy Team and responsible both for developing policy proposals that support the implementation of the national nutrition strategy “Good Food for Germany” at state and municipal level, and for engaging in dialogue with political representatives and public administration officials.

In this role, you will help implement sustainable procurement practices in public catering by embedding plant-based protein diversity and emission reduction goals into policy guidelines, and by promoting climate-friendly and plant-based meal options in public canteens, hospitals, universities, and schools.

This position is key to leveraging public procurement as a driver for climate action, healthy nutrition, and regional value creation. Your contribution will accelerate the plant-based transformation within public institutions — creating real impact for people, animals, and our planet. You will serve as an essential link between our Food Services Team and our Policy Team.
